1. a person, animal, or thing that trails another
☆ 2. a cart, wagon, or large van, designed to be pulled by an automobile, truck, or TRACTOR (sense 2), for hauling freight, animals, a boat, etc.
☆ 3. a closed vehicle designed to be pulled by an automobile or truck and equipped as a place to live or work in, as one with beds, cooking facilities, etc.: see also MOBILE HOME
☆ 4. Film
a) [so called because originally attached to the end of a reel of film] an advertisement for a feature film, typically consisting of brief portions of scenes from that film
b) a blank length of film at the end of a reel
